How to Place an Order You will find below an explanation of how to place an order, and (if applicable) how to get your photos to me
OVERSEAS ORDERS: All prices shown are in £/Sterling, but if you are ordering from outside the UK please let me know and I can invoice you in your own currency. The rate charged will be at the conversion rate applicable on the day of invoicing.
Placing Your Order
To place your order you need to do two things..
Many items have a simple "Buy Now" button beside them which will simply add your chosen items to a shopping cart ready to go to the checkout. However, some items have a purple "Order Now" button (see below) and these require a little more information to complete your order. You will need to make a note of the image or magazine title you have chosen for example, and you may need to provide further information and details as necessary to process the order. If you need to send a photo for your order, you can email this to me once you have submitted your order by following the instructions shown below. When submitting an "Order Now" form you do not need to pay immediately - I will send you an invoice via PayPal within 1 working day for you to pay by credit or debit card. 
What happens next...
When I receive your order I will send you a confirmation and - if applicable - an invoice by email. You should receive this confirmation within one working day: if you don't see it first check your junk mail box and failing that use the "Contact Me" form on this site to let me know there is a problem. In the event that I send you an invoice, once you have made your payment I will begin your order and you will receive your artwork proof via email within 2-3 working days. If you have ordered prints or gifts, these will be dispatched within 1 working day (after you have approved your proof, if applicable - unless otherwise stated). Payments are made via Paypal and I can accept all major credit and debit cards. If you would prefer not to pay with a card, but would like to send a cheque instead, please contact me to let me know. I am happy to accept cheques (payable to Sarah Thexton please), but please understand that I cannot begin work on your order until I have received the cheque and it has cleared. It will, therefore, take longer for your order to reach you.
The first proof of your image will be emailed for your approval. If you want to make any minor changes they can be done at this stage (sorry, amendments can only be minor - I won't be able to change to a different theme), and a second and final finished image will then be sent to you again via email.
Choosing the best photo
You can either send me one particular photo, or a selection for me to choose from. Ideally, your photo should be clear, not blurry, and preferably with nothing cropped from the body or head, or obscuring the face if possible. That said, I can often work around things as long as they are not too prominent.
For Best Results
Ideally the photo should be taken with at least a 3MP digital camera, or be a photo scanned at 300dpi (dots per inch). Sadly, most photos taken with a mobile phone don't provide big enough images to be workable. Please don't resize your photo: the bigger it is the better! Save your photo as a JPEG. The file size should be at least 200kbs - but 1MB or bigger is even better.
Not sure if your photo is the right quality?
I can make improvements to enhance the original photo, but if it was blurry or is a tiny file to start with, I probably can't improve it much further I'm afraid. If you are at all unsure, please feel free to email me your image at: queries@photofairytales.co.uk asking me to take a look in the first instance. I am more than happy to take an initial look before you order and let you know if the photo will work. Send the photo as a full size attachment.
Which photo should you send?
You can either send an existing favourite snapshot, or if you have a particular theme in mind you could try getting your subject to pose in a particular way (eg, seated, pointing, standing, etc), or even dress in a certain outfit (eg, fairy, pirate, etc). The finished image will be influenced by the pose, clothing, and style of the photo you send.
I have a standard photograph (ie, not on a computer), but no access to a scanner...
Many photo developing shops, internet cafes and quick print shops can scan for you and may even email it to me on your behalf too.
